World Earth Day 2024: Eliwell's commitment to safeguarding the planet
Earth Day is the largest environmental event on the planet, the only time when all citizens of the world come together to celebrate the Earth and promote its preservation.
Established on 22 April 1970 to emphasize the need for conservation of the Earth's natural resources, it has become an educational and informative event that involves up to a billion people in 192 countries around the world each year.
Why is it time to act? The transformation of land and ocean/coastal ecosystems together with the loss of biodiversity, worsened by pollution, habitat fragmentation and changes in land use, threaten the livability and food security of human societies.
Sustainability is at the core of Eliwell's strategy. Our mission is to be your partner for sustainability and efficiency in order to collectively address the climate challenge as quickly and effectively as possible. Our commitment is all-rounded:
- Development of sustainable solutions, compatible with natural refrigerants to reduce the greenhouse effect;
- Research into raw materials with reduced environmental impact, such as the plastics used in products;
- Availability of information on the traceability and environmental impact of solutions thanks to the Green PremiumTM label
- Use of low-impact packaging, through the use of recycled cardboard and limiting or removing the use of single-use plastics as much as possible
- Responsible management of company waste (UNI EN ISO 14001 certified plant)
