Secure Interface is an Edge device that belongs to the FREE Way platform; despite the intrinsic complexity of digitalisation, it makes the IIoT – Industrial Internet of Things - world available to all, at the same time offering the highest standards of cybersecurity. Secure Interface not only connects to the FREE Way PLC but also to any device fitted with a Modbus bus over RS485, collecting data and conveying it to the Cloud, where specific applications analyse the data and enable predictive maintenance. The Secure Interface device has a client to open a VPN thus ensuring safe and immediate remote access to the machine. All the protocols in the Secure Interface are cybersafe; the device can be used as a simple Modbus gateway, or for more complex operations and connectivity, with various programming levels.
